#Author, Mathematician, Half-Hermit, Storyteller, Entertainer.
I see things differently than most. It’s just how I am. Largely because when I was a kid I had my head so far in the clouds that you could have set my shoes on fire and I wouldn’t have noticed. (I can say that with complete certainly, because that actually did happen one summer at Boy Scout camp…)
Because of that, I seem to have missed a lot of the basic lessons on people, life, and the world we live in that people learn when they are kids and take for granted when they become adults.
So, sometimes (read “often”) I end up doing things the hard way. I end up applying advanced mathematical principles and problem solving techniques to figure out what the heck is going on with people.
But, frankly, that gets really boring some days.
The world we live in is super interesting, but sometimes I just want to watch cartoons, drink whiskey, listen to music, and build random stuff.
I’m carve long bows, I’m learning to blacksmith, I tinker with all sorts of things, and I randomly do whatever else I find neat at the time.
See, my head really never left the clouds. It’s never going to. So, I’m often kind of a mathematical super-genius with the capricious attention of your average 14 year old boy.
This blog is about discovery and exhibition. Show and Tell for adults, or at least this adult. I try to find wisdom, intelligence, tact, skill, plot, inspiration, and generally everything else. When I find something worth sharing, I share. When I write something I like, you get to read it. Simple, really.
I try to update the blog at least twice a week. Usually Tuesdays and Thursdays. Though I’ll be the first to admit that I slip now and then, I do at least try. Occasionally I’ll stumble across something truly interesting, either from my own brain or someone else’s and I’ll update more often, but, at the very least, I try for twice a week, usually around 10 a.m., for those of you who like precision.
