In any contest of skill or chance it is always important to remember the feelings of your opponent. Knowing why they are there is as important as knowing why you are there. But do not make the mistake of caring too much for their feelings. Everyone wants to win a contest. That means everyone else wants you to lose. Maybe it’s personal, maybe it’s not. It doesn’t matter. If you care more about their reasons than your own, you will never win.
